The Smithers District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the temporary manager will be Jill Barrowman, a resident of Telkwa B.C. Jill will cover a temporary six to twelve-month maternity leave for current Manager Sheena Miller.

Temporary Change of Chamber Hours & Closure of Smithers Visitor Centre

Starting Friday, March 20th the Smithers Visitor Centre will be closing and the Smithers District Chamber of Commerce will be by appointment only 

I think the future of Smithers’ business community is bright. There’s a new generation of people starting out and taking over old businesses in the community, supplying new ideas and breathing life into this town. The people here are friendly and support each other, but I think that the best thing about our town is the diversity of people here.
