These gatherings offer a rare chance to connect directly with those vying for your vote, ask pressing questions, and hear firsthand about their plans and priorities.
Event Details
Event 1: Candi-Dating
Date & Time: Saturday, October 5, 2024, 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Location: Smithers Public Library
Dive into a fun, engaging format with "Candi-Dating," where you will have the chance to meet provincial election candidates in a relaxed setting.
Speed date your provincial election candidates for the Bulkley Valley-Stikine electoral district.
Each small group will have a five minute conversation with each candidate.
Engage in small group discussions and enjoy the unique "speed dating" approach to hear concise presentations and ask your questions.
This is a perfect opportunity to learn about each candidate's platform in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
Event 2: Coffee with Candidates & Forum
Date & Time: Tuesday, October 8, 2024
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. | Forum begins at 7:30 p.m.
Location: Della Herman Theatre
Join us for a casual coffee session followed by a structured forum.
Doors open for coffee with the candidates in the round room.
This event allows you to mingle with the candidates in an informal setting before delving into more serious discussions during the forum.
Gain insights into where candidates stand on vital issues affecting our region.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will be live-streamed on the Smithers Chamber Facebook page.
