Plaid Friday is our annual celebration of local pride and community spirit! The goal?
1) Inspire everyone to shop and support local, and
2) Show off your plaid pride in true Smithers style.
Plaid up, show up, and shop local! On #PlaidFriday, we celebrate the incredible businesses, makers, and service providers who keep Smithers and area vibrant, creative, and strong. This day is all about choosing community and supporting the people and places that make our Valley special. Plus, select stores will be open late for holiday shopping fun (See below)!
How You Can Join the Fun:
For Businesses: Deck out your storefronts, hang your Plaid Friday posters, advertise a fun promo, and rally your team to wear plaid. Stay open late and help fill our community with holiday cheer!
For Shoppers: Throw on your favourite plaid and hit the town for some later-night local shopping!
Not all businesses will be open late and those that are may have different closing times. Please double-check individual store hours before heading out so you don’t miss your must-stop shops. These are the opening hours shared through Lyn at Out of Hand, who is kindly coordinating the merchants:
