Avanti Kitsault Mines Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alloycorp Mining Inc., a TSX Venture listed company with a strategy to become the unique supplier of steel alloy metals. The Avanti Kitsault Mine, located approximately 200 km from Terrace, is currently Alloycorp's cornerstone asset to this strategy. Avanti Kitsault is one of the top four primary molybdenum development assets in the world. Total capital costs for the project are estimated at $818 million, and when in production, the mine will provide up to 300 full time jobs over an estimated 14 year mine life and produce over 11,000 tonnes of molybdenum and 1 million ounces of silver annually. Construction began in September 2014 and production is expected to begin in 2017.
